In the world of fashion, there are many colorful individuals, but few are quite as bizarre as Harald Glööckler. His name may not be well known, but the tabloids never fail to draw attention to his gorgeous face, which is often lavishly makeup-applied and theatrically enhanced.
traumatic upbringing
While it is the right of every child to grow up in a caring and secure home, Harald Glööckler’s early years in southern Germany were anything but that. His father’s violent and destructive mix of drunkenness and violence had a significant effect on him during his early years.
In 2009, he told Bild that a zombie movie was more beautiful than his childhood.
In addition to dealing with the heartbreak of losing his mother in a tragic accident, young Harald also had to contend with the abusive and strict father he had growing up. When Glööckler was just 13 years old, his mother died after an inexplicable fall down the stairs that the authorities deemed to be an accident.
But Harald suggested there was more to the story. “When I was thirteen, I saw my father kill my mother,” the man stated. He said that she was pushed down the stairs by his father. “That was the last day of my childhood.”
After then, until his passing in 1992, thirteen years later, Harald didn’t speak to his father again.
Unfortunately, Harald was also sexually assaulted by a family acquaintance while on vacation when he was only six years old. He never spoke out about the disarray in his family.
“It took me a long time to realize that it wasn’t my fault,” the man asserted.

Despite having an extremely difficult background, Harald eventually managed to use his hardship for good. Without his abusive father, he might never have rose to become one of the most renowned designers in the world.
Seeing his mother suffer at the hands of his father made him want to protect women in whatever way he could.
When I was six years old, I decided that I would never watch ladies cry again. My sole objective was to improve each woman’s perception of attractiveness.
He worked as an apprentice and then as a salesperson in a fashion firm. Eventually, he gained the expertise and confidence required to start his own company.
In 1987, at the age of 22, Harald set up shop on a busy street in Stuttgart, a thriving metropolis, called Jeans Garden. He ran the store alongside haberdasher Dieter Schroth, his manager and personal friend.
Three years later, Glööckler launched his most well-known clothing brand, Pompöös. His career was aided by famous clients like Brigitte Nielsen, Gina Lollobrigida, and Chaka Khan.
Since opening his own business, Glööckler has become a well-known figure in the fashion world. Known for his extravagant clothing and televised appearances, he produces a range of products, such as clothing, cosmetics, and bags, that are marketed in over 80 countries.
Naturally, Germany is where he is most well-known, but he has garnered a lot of interest from other nations as well. These days, he paints, sells his artwork, and has his own jewelry line. In recent years, he has been a permanent judge on Germany’s Let’s Dance show. He also dabbled in music and appeared in the documentary Harald Glööckler: Prince of Fashion.
“My success can be attributed to my genuine nature.” At the end of the day, I’m a fairly smart businessman,” Glööckler said at Fashion Week.
Dieter Schroth, a 75-year-old partner of 59-year-old Harald Glööckler, and Glööckler have been wed for over 30 years. The two established a registered partnership in 2015. Before they fell in love, Dieter was married to a woman and they had two daughters together. Later, the children moved in with Glööckler and Schroth, and they had grandkids now.
According to them, the couple leads a rather traditional lifestyle. They go out to dinner, grab coffee, meet up with pals, and so on. However, Dieter Schroth has had certain health issues over the years, but Harald Glööckler has always supported him.
Glööckler told Bild, “I handle everything at home, including cooking, shopping, and dog care.”
Apart from a notable incident wherein he suffered anaphylactic shock in 2018, Glööckler has not encountered numerous health issues. Usually, this occurs following certain foods, drugs, or insect stings. The style icon received emergency attention after being hurriedly brought to the hospital.
“My breathing became more difficult as my face grew bigger.” Glööckler stated to Bild, “I had to visit the hospital due to a panic attack.”
It is clear that he has an allergy, but neither Glööckler nor his healthcare providers are certain exactly what it is. Fortunately, Glööckler’s stay in the hospital was brief. I’ve always hoped for higher cheekbones, but not quite like this, he joked to reporters later, clearly in a good mood.

In June, Harald Glööckler shocked several of his followers on Instagram by posting a video in which he showed off numerous pink cannulas implanted in his cheeks.
“This is a thread lift; this is not new facial jewelry or anything else,” Glööckler says in the video.
Once more, the 59-year-old received backlash from some of his admirers who expressed concern over the numerous injections and cosmetic procedures.
