A startling revelation regarding the attempted murder of her husband, Donald Trump, has been made by former first lady Melania Trump.
On July 13, when the former president of the United States was speaking at a campaign rally close to Butler, Pennsylvania, a gunman—later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks—started firing. He hit Trump’s ear and critically injured a guy in the audience behind him.
Following the attempt on his life, Trump maintained his signature calm demeanor, calling it “incredible” that anything like this could have happened.
“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear,” Trump posted on Truth Social, his platform, following the attempted murder.
“As soon as I felt the bullet ripping through my skin and heard bullets and a zipping sound, I knew something was wrong.
“The fact that such an act can occur in our nation is astounding.”
Shortly after he opened fire at the rally, Secret Service agents shot and killed Crooks, and Trump was promptly restrained and covered by agents on stage before being taken to the hospital.
Despite how shocking the entire incident was, Trump has made multiple public appearances in the weeks since, appearing unmoved by his near-death experience. But now, in a video posted to her Instagram page, his wife Melania has boldly claimed that there is “more to the story” regarding the incident.
“It was a terrible, painful experience to try to end my husband’s life,” she addressed the camera directly in the video.
The quiet around it feels oppressive just now. Why the gunman wasn’t taken into custody by police before the speech is beyond me. This is by no means the end of the story. And we must ascertain the reality.

An graphic promoting her new memoir, Melania, which is scheduled for release in October, concluded the aforementioned video.
Melania’s allegation follows the release of more information about the attempted assassination of Trump. Director of the US Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle called the incident “unacceptable.”
She told ABC that “the buck stops with me.” “As the Secret Service’s director, it is my responsibility to ensure that we are conducting reviews and providing resources to staff members as needed.”
