There are 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms in Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s $61 million estate.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck spent about $61 million in cash for their ideal Beverly Hills home after searching for it for almost two years.

However, given the latest reports of their breakup, it’s important to consider their expensive house purchase again and its significance.

If you’ve been paying close attention to the Ben Affleck/Jennifer Lopez tale over the past few months, you probably feel relieved that it’s finally reached what seemed like an inevitable end.

It didn’t take Nostradamus’s prophetic vision to foresee that the well-liked “Bennifer” marriage would end tragically, and for the majority of people, the question has always been when, not if, divorce papers will be filed by either partner.

But let’s go back in time to a period before bad press, attorneys, court documents, and heartache.

After getting married in July 2022 in Las Vegas, Jennifer Lopez looked for a new place to raise their blended family. Their new estate was planned to accommodate their five children from prior marriages: Ben’s three children, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, from his marriage to Jennifer Garner, and JLo’s 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max Muñiz, from her marriage to Marc Anthony.

Affleck sold his bachelor pad in Pacific Palisades for $28.5 million in the fall of 2022, while Lopez sold her Bel-Air property for $42.5 million.

The Hollywood power couple agreed to pay $15 million less than the $75 million asking price in May 2023 for the Wallingford Estate promontory in Beverly Hills, transferring $60,850,000 in cash.

While that may seem like a lot, in 2018 the home—which had been rebuilt by renowned Los Angeles spec developer Gala Asher—was advertised for $135 million, and they ended up paying less than half of that amount.

Lopez and Affleck wasted no time in moving into their new house; a week after signing the paperwork, their possessions—furniture, paintings, carpets, and moving boxes—were spotted piled in the driveway.

Three8,000 square feet of luxurious living space, including 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 155-foot infinity-edge pool, 15 fireplaces, and an outstanding indoor sports complex, are featured in this five-acre estate.

A sports enthusiast’s dream come true, the facility has a basketball and pickleball court, a glass viewing gallery, a sports bar with a video wall, an indoor and outdoor lounge with a large yard for opulent events, a boxing ring, and a weight and cardio gym where “Jenny from the Block” can get her full-body workout.

There is plenty of parking, including a 10-car garage and enough for 80 more automobiles.

The estate also has a two-bedroom guardhouse, a caretaker’s house, and a 5,000-square-foot guest apartment. A full-service hair and nail salon, a home theater, a wine cellar, a whiskey lounge, a sauna, and massage rooms are among the amenities of this property, which is close to the famed Beverly Hills Hotel.

Even with this lavish lifestyle, the couple’s recent divorce has made their private lives more public. The difficulty of Lopez and Affleck’s divorce was increased by TMZ’s claim that they did not sign a prenuptial agreement.

In the summer of 2024, Lopez and Affleck made the decision to put their opulent Beverly Hills property up for sale, putting a whopping $68 million on the asking price.

However, speculation concerning the estate’s true worth arose. The mansion’s market value, as reported by NewsNation, may be closer to $40 to $50 million, indicating that the opulent price tag may be a little too much.

It’s in a very bad place. Wallingford Estates is an unguarded gated neighborhood. Worth $5–10 million, the most of the residences in the neighborhood date back to the 1970s. The insider told NewsNation, “It’s gaudy, too big, and outdated with amenities that are just silly and not necessary.”

It’s evident as Bennifer moves through this new phase that their mansion continues to represent their once-combined family goal.
