T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are not in a hurry to tie the knot.
“Since I am 51 years old, there is no urgency. In her new podcast, “I Do, Part 2,” about “love, resilience, and second chances,” with Holmes, Jennie Garth, and Jana Kramer, Robach stated, “I don’t need to rush into anything.”
“I believe that up until now, I have thrown myself into everything. However, he is aware of my desire for marriage and my desire for marriage.
Robach clarified that she and her boyfriend have “said to each other and publicly” that they want to spend the rest of their lives together. Robach and Holmes have been dating since 2022.
We frequently discuss it, but we haven’t created a timeline. I doubt a week goes by that we don’t debate things like “Should we? “Should we?” she asked, chuckling.
The 47-year-old Holmes then added, describing how love with Robach simply seems “different.”
“I am a huge lover of love. Nothing excites me more than a wedding and the thought of two people committing to each other and starting anew,” he exclaimed.
This time, it’s different for me in that it doesn’t feel like the next step. Like, ‘What’s the need to do? It has been a very long time. No, all I want to do is wed her.
Robach concurred, telling the audience that she feels “comfort” and “safety” with her partner.
She continued, saying, “I do want to be married and I do love the idea of having a partner and sticking with each other through the good days and the bad.” “There is an ease in knowing that person has publicly and legally committed to working it out with you,” she said.
The former hosts of the podcast “Amy and T.J.” previously discussed marriage being “on the table” in an episode from December 2023.
Robach and Holmes acknowledged that they were still considering getting married officially or just continuing as life partners without the title several months later, in April.
Robach stated on the show, “We’re still deciding about what that level of commitment is… whether it’s legal or not.”
But we’ve made a firm commitment to one another—mentally and emotionally. We still don’t understand the marriage idea.
Holmes acknowledged that marriage would feel “more official” and “more real” at the same time.
While co-hosting “GMA3” in 2022, Robach and Holmes—who were each still legally married to Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, respectively—began dating.
The two, however, have angrily refuted any accusations of adultery, stating that they were already split up from their respective relationships before to being together.
