CNN host After fighting pancreatic cancer for nearly 23 years, Alisyn Camerota revealed her husband’s passing.
She started a devastating Instagram caption on Friday with the words, “Some very sad personal news to share,” next to a picture of the couple on their wedding day.
The journalist disclosed that on July 27, at the age of 58, her “loved” and “extraordinary” spouse, Tim Lewis, passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer after a two-year struggle.
“It is impossible to think of another person who exhibited such bravery, humor, and humility in the face of a devastating diagnosis as Tim did,” she went on. He was an amazing husband, father, friend, and role model, and the rest of us are left to try to emulate him.
Following the defeat, Camerota, 58, said that she and the couple’s three teenage children are “still getting their bearings.”
The political analyst continued, “We’re determined to try to emulate those qualities because Tim imbued us with a lot of strength and stability.”
She declared that the family had established a fund in his honor to assist other families facing comparable difficulties. They had received more than $16,000 at the time of publication.
She went on, “This month would have been our 23rd wedding anniversary.” “For the brief time we shared, I feel immensely fortunate to have had such a profound, devoted, and loving partnership.”
She closed by saying that she would be returning to work in the upcoming weeks and thanking everyone for their “love and letters, trays of lasagna, and the many, many gestures of kindness.”
“I’m appreciative. ❤️❤️❤️,” the writer wrote.
With a picture of herself and her two kids in August, Camerota made a clue about her passing.
“It’s sunny outside. We’re surviving and grinning,” she said as the photo’s caption.
