As Hurricane Milton moves toward the west coast of Florida, cameras have caught a number of storms.
It looks like Hurricane Milton is a disaster waiting to happen before it even hits land. Several tornadoes have formed across Florida with only hours to go until the storm hits. Many people in the hurricane’s path left their homes, but some caught tornadoes in places like Alligator Alley and others. It was dangerous to be around all of them, even though they were all different.
Did Hurricane Milton hit land?
Without a doubt, Milton will hit land off the west coast of Florida either late Wednesday night (October 9) or early Thursday morning (October 10). The worst of the storm is likely to hit Tampa.
Two large tornadoes from Hurricane Milton crossed Interstate 75 in the Florida Everglades around 10am EDT and moved north between the towns of Miles City and Andytown.

Where in Florida can you find tornadoes?
Florida was hit by several tornadoes on October 9, just before Hurricane Milton arrived. Several news sources say that one of the storms was found near Alligator Alley in Collier County.
Along I-75 in the Sunshine State and in Clewiston, there were also some other twisters.

What makes a hurricane cause tornadoes?
The National Weather Service (NWS) page talks about how hurricanes can lead to tornadoes.
The NWS says that these tornadoes usually happen in clouds that are part of rain bands that are far from the center of the hurricane. However, they can also happen near the eyewall. “Most tornadoes that happen with tropical systems happen in the storm’s right front quadrant.” Most of the time, this place has the best wind shear and instability.
The NWS website says that when tornadoes do happen in tropical places, they come from “tropical systems that make landfall in the Gulf of Mexico and continue on a path toward the north/northeast.” “Tornadoes that are caused by tropical cyclones are usually weak and don’t last long, but they are still very dangerous.”
What type of hurricane is Milton?
When Milton first hit, it was rated a Category 3, but earlier this week, it quickly grew stronger and became a Category 4. It went from a 4 to a 5 all of a sudden. The storm is now a Category 4 as it gets closer to Florida.
Attractions in Orlando Are Closed for Milton
Orlando is one of the most populated towns in Florida, so Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and Orlando International Airport all said they would be temporarily closing for Milton.
Even though Orlando doesn’t have forced evacuation orders, Milton is going to hit that area.
