Rocky’s real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, and he was caught at LAX in August 2022. He was charged with two felonies of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
“At 10:15 p.m. on November 6, 2021, Aaron, two friends got into a fight in the Hollywood area near Selma Avenue and Argyle Avenue,” the LAPD said in a statement. “The argument got worse, and the suspect shot the victim with a handgun.” The victim got a small injury in the accident and later went to the hospital to get treatment. Once the killing was over, the suspect and two other men ran away on foot.
Law enforcement said that A$AP Rocky was their suspect after further study by detectives. He told the police that he was not guilty.
