Overheated, which was once a U.K. event, is now returning over the pond with Eilish.
Overheated, a climate change protest event produced by her mother Maggie Baird’s charity, Support+Feed, will feature Billie Eilish as its main performer for the first time in the United States.
According to the organization’s statement, Eilish, a co-founder of Overheated, will join “activists, artists, organizations, and thought leaders” in speaking to “amplify their efforts, and inspire others with practical tips and accessible resources for addressing the climate crisis.”
The concert, which is now sold out, is set for November 3 at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. Additionally, Eilish’s own YouTube channel will broadcast the event live around the world.
According to the event description, “there will be conversations on the importance of storytelling, impact of food systems, sustainable fashion methods, environmental justice, accessible resources for addressing the climate crisis, and more.” “After we have a plant-based lunch together, there will be a dance party!”
Baird, Xiye Bastida, Daniel Blackman, Brea Baker, Abre’ Conner, Quintin Crumpler, Jasmine Crowe-Houston, Helena Gualinga, Wawa Gatheru, Isaias Hernandez, Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, Jamila Norman, Samata Pattinson, Maya Penn, and Angela Watts are also among the special guests.
Last year, Overheated held an event in the United Kingdom. According to its website, Baird’s group, Support+Feed, has expanded to 41 locations worldwide and is “committed to mitigating climate change and increasing food security by driving global demand, acceptance, and accessibility of plant-based food.”
